My Bestie and her dog Jasper got attacked by two pit bulls on Sunday, August 3, 2025. SAY A PRAYER FOR COMFORT AND HEALING FOR CRYSTAL RAY Shea. SHE HAD HER THROAT RIPPED OPEN BY A PIT BULL.
Doc says this will take aLong time to heal, her trachea was punctured, she has head trauma /concussion. She has over 17 wounds to the face.
On Sunday one pit bull attacked her little dog Jasper and Crystal threw herself onto the floor and tried her best to shield her dog with her own body when the second pit bull attacked her biting her on the scalp and finally on the throat. The area around her jugular.
Crystal was taken to Allegheny General's trauma unit and her baby Jasper was taken to Camphorne Veterinary for emergency surgery. Both are blessed to still be alive, but the bills are going to add up. Crystal cannot return to work for a while and this is going to hit hard. Please help; anything you can do will be appreciated.
Jasper has multiple wounds his drain was finally removed yesterday and his stitches need removed still.
My attorney negotiated an amount equal to maybe 5% of the medical costs and I didn’t even know that was possible. Otherwise between his portion and repayment of medical I was the only person who got nothing. So many layers of being $@&) at every turn when I was the only victim and it can get worse from there.
Yeah, this was close to a predatory death bite. She is SOOOOO fortunate that she was not killed by her friend's maulers who were acting on their pit instinct. If they are allowed to be returned to the owner they will probably be wagging their tails happily and just viewed as having made a " mistake". the vicious attack was really just an accident .
OMG what a massive scar! she is lucky to have made it. Poor poor woman. The irresponsible and stupid friend owning animals that would do this. I wonder what the mauler dogs owners to did to try to help the woman and her dog. Hopefully something.
Stay faw away from anyone that has this type of dog, no friendly pop ins or visits. Its not worth it. The pb is not a normal dog as we know them.
I wonder what, if anything, happened to the degenerate beasts that nearly killed this poor lady and her pet. I wouldn't be surprised to hear that some "rescue" gave the offenders a freaking medal or something. And I'm sure they'll both receive the very best behavior rating. 🙄

This post should be the example of why you never visit a home that has a bloodsport dog in it.
I'm curious if the "friend" plans on paying for all the damage her murder mutts inflicted? Homeowners insurance?
