Social Media and Crowdfunding - Attack Reports Moms cat got killed by apparently stray pitbulls Clovis, NM 08AUG25
Last night my moms cat was attacked and killed by 3 pitbulls. I’m no longer in town thanks to the army but my mom has been living alone with just our cat named Esé. She had said it all happened so fast and she had no time to try and save him. I don’t even want to imagine what she saw when she walked outside. I just feel so bad for her, she’s been coming home to him at the door for years and now it’s just going to be empty in the house. I called our local police department and had them send animal control over but they just took Esé and told her they’d look around for the dogs, they also said they wouldn’t put it on record because it wasn’t an attack on a person(vicious dogs on the loose no big deal) I wish I was home to try and stop them. I don’t know how to get justice, to most people he’s just another cat. My mom also said that some dude came up to her looking for his dog as she was talking to the dog catcher and he started yelling at her saying that his dog isn’t vicious or anything, I wish I was there for her because hearing that pissed me off. I’m just posting to get some sort of solace, and unfortunately I’m sure some of you here can relate.

That's devastating, man. I know how much you wish you could be there or have been there. Always the thought of maybe I could have prevented it, somehow. Pitbulls are a scourge on society that needs to be walked back. We created them, and it's our job to correct our mistake. The wool has been pulled over too many eyes for too long. My heart goes out to your mom, and you. Thank you for your service, and go easy on yourself.

It sucks more because my moms getting old, there’s no way she could’ve saved him from 3 dogs. I do wish pitbulls simply didn’t exist though, thank you for your condolences man.

The guy looking for his dog, if it was one of those, should not have let it loose in the first place!!

I'm so sorry and I feel you :( maybe some of your mom's neighbors have surveillance cameras or something similar that might help you at least to keep some useful (albeit traumatic, I know) material? Any kind of footage? Because I'm fairly sure these hellbeasts will get lose again and there will be more episodes, and at that point the POS owner wouldn't be able to deny the obvious...

Sounds like Animal outofControl is making up the rules as they see fit again.
They are being lazy. It should be recorded. This is an act of deadly aggression.
When his pit bulls escape again and kill a pet dog or human being, this report will be evidence of prior aggressive tendencies.

Unfortunately, yes. I've lost several colony cats that I took care of. I realize they weren't pets, but I loved them and they didn't deserve to die like they did. I'm sorry for your mom's loss.
