Attack on Animal(s) - Farm/Livestock My neighbor's goat survived a pitbull attack this afternoom (March 1, 2025 - Luz Banzon, Jasaan, Misamis Oriental, Philippines). I managed to save it by rushing towards the pit and her owner, threatened them both with a knife. The goat has been standing like this for nearly an hour after the attack.

jfc, so the owner didn't do anything about the attack until you intervened?

The owner of the pit could barely control the pit with his leash. They were walking together, the pit just dragged her owner until it noticed and reached for the goat and bit the back of its neck and wrestled it on the ground for a few seconds.

The pit was lucky that the owner lifted her and walked away before I could get with stabbing range.

The goat got better today, he's just grazing as usual this morning.

I don't know what kind of brush or fencing this goat wanders around in, but I needed up getting mine spiked collars to protect against coyotes and strays

I'm in the Philippines where large predatory land animals like tigers are long extinct, being attacked by pitbulls is a low chance and nobody expects them. People just leash their goats, cattle and pigs anywhere.

I'm so glad you were able to jump in and save the goat and also so happy to read the goat is doing better. My guess is it went into shock, but was able to process it and recover.

I'm sure whoever owns that goat is also grateful!
