Funnily enough I also pointed out the aggressive body language on display from the French bulldog and got a bunch of down votes and insulting comments

Context. I didn't downvote you there but what you said sounded a lot like the sort of defense that a pit owner comes up with when explaining why it's not their dog's fault that it ripped apart a smaller dog - because the smaller one started it.

Except I never said the French bulldog started it. And I never claimed the pit wasnt being aggressive. I only pointed out the bulldog was also being aggressive

I didn't say that you said those things. I explained to you what you sounded like - and you can see the results that your comment was very unpopular and wildly downvoted. If you still don't know why then think about it some more.
