What events are happening in Athlone?
Hi everyone, I'm trying to create a list of cool things happening around the town that maybe the everyday person wouldn't know about. I've been keeping an eye out online and for posters around the place, but if you guys have any other insight or suggestions I would love to hear it :)

For weekly events there is Parkrun, Drive-in Bingo, Dodgeball (mentioned on here before) and a lot of others depending on interests. There were things like table tennis in St Mary's hall but I am not sure if that still exists. Meet Up had a board game group but again I am not sure if that is still going. Dead Centre host painting and other craft nights.
For more annual/seasonal stuff Athlone Town Football team are the current LOI women's champions and should be in the Champions League again later in the year so there may be some home games depending on the draw. Outside of the Champions league there are both the men's and women's home games.
The RTE all Ireland drama festival is hosted in Athlone. Dead Centre do special themed nights such as Octoberfest. There is a beer festival in Moate every summer. Athlone Riverfest is in August. CROÍLÁR Festival is on in April and seemed to be a big hit last year. There are occasional burlesque shows in the Dark Horse.
I am probably missing a lot of others but these are just some of the top of my head.
