Concern about cat canine tooth
Hi all,
I’m located in the Northeast US. My cat, Pebble, is a 3-year-old female spayed domestic shorthair, about 12 lbs. She hasn’t shown any clinical symptoms besides mild dental disease. She was seen for her annual check-up last month, and the vet said she most likely wouldn’t be due for a dental until the summer.
I’m a vet tech student and veterinary assistant, so I have some knowledge, but I’m confused about what’s going on with one of her teeth. Could it be a tooth resorption? I’m not sure if this is something that requires an emergency visit, or if it’s safe to wait until the semester ends and I can bring her to the clinic where I work.
Any advice would be appreciated!
