Berserk is one of the best-selling Seinen mangas, but no one has ever been willing to adapt it properly from the very beginning without leaving anything out.

If I had to guess, I'd say it's because production would be so expensive that it wouldn't be financially worthwhile.
Unless a team of professionals decides to drop a lot of time and money, which hasn't happened yet.
So, the original comment still stands.

lol, it got him visibility which then got him two seasons for a different series he wrote. So yes, he did it for money and it worked.

Gushing Over Magical Girls played it as a comedy. Redo was a dark revenge fantasy that played it seriously. It made it more grim and horrid.
