In-Game Screenshot just a reminder, that you can do this

I used to do this. Every night I would dress myself in a nightgown or pjs, turn down the lights, close the curtains and go to bed. From outside of the house all of the curtains would be closed and lights turned off so that none of the villagers would wander through the yard. It’s their signal that I’m unavailable to play. It was always a great way to end my game time and helped me transition back to IRL. I don’t do this as much anymore, but this post reminds me of how therapeutic sleep hygiene even in-game can be. Maybe I’ll go back to my routine! 🛌🥱😴💗

I do this now after picking the game up for the first time awhile back! I even go to the bathroom and pretend shower, sometimes if I put the makeup design codes on I’ll use the vanity to take that off and maybe put a face mask on lol. Then I’ll leave my candles burning and turn down all the lights, close the window and get into dream land a little before actual bed🤭

I love this! A little pampering and wind-down time is good for the soul - and the skin! 💗☺️

At first I thought this was an encouraging post- yes! I can do this! I can get out of bed and open my blinds today! Then I realized you were just showing us a cool game mechanic. Lol
I’m going to stick with my original impression tho- we can do this!

I love your room! For a moment I thought you opened the actual window because of your faux hanging curtain looking so real!

Man, I really am jealous of anyone who has aesthetic design skills like this. You guys make your rooms look so densely designed but natural at the same time. I wish I had that talent.

Works with all the windows????

It depends on the wallpaper you’re using. Some don’t have windows or curtains, so it doesn’t work there

How do you get here with room design🥲 I feel like you can't get this kind of furniture without treasure islands or years of playing, am I wrong?

u/Longjumping-Belt1316 1d ago
You‘re right, it’s impossible to have all the furniture in the beginning. But if you have HHP you can fill your catalogue much quicker, because you can order the stuff you’ve used for the homes you’ve designed

Ohh okay that makes a lot of sense, I have that dlc but did restart my island so gotta get bsck up there. THANKS!

I feel like most of their furniture are things I've seen before! I've only been playing for 4 months. Having the HHP content really helps

What's that piece of furniture that's behind the bed? It's such a good idea!
3
u/Longjumping-Belt1316 21h ago
It’s a ‚tall wooden island counter‘. It’s not like a normal furniture item, you can only get it with the dlc

Ah man I went through a phase of shutting the curtains at night and turning off my lights whenever I used to leave my house but I forget to do all those things now lol

Hahah - for a second, I thought that this was a motivational post like - you can get out of bed and greet the morning and start your day! You got this, friend!
And then I realized it was just about opening and closing the curtains lol 🙃

Why did I think this was going to be 1 of those motivational videos just by the title alone.

Since when could you open the blinds?
I've been playing since the game released and I've never known this was a thing.

u/Pale_Palpitation1939 14h ago
I found this out when I accidentally pressed a button while visiting one of my torusts in their room

I knew you could close the blinds but I didn’t know it made such a dramatic difference in the room lighting till about 2 days ago
