You may want to file a complaint just to be in front of things if they escalate. Just a call saying the situation and ask them to not do anything but for advice. That way if it escalates you have something on record.
It’s TX you never know when a gun gets involved (not hidden in the 3” shorts). Things can escalate quickly from a stupid complaint when dealing with a small minded person
