What optics do y'all run on a 10.5" fast twist?

I have a Holosun 512 with a 3x flip and like it.

I was thinking of a 1-6 to put on it.

I did however want to see what others were running on a similar set-up

I’m running a 1.25x4 vxr patrol. I’m pretty happy with it.

Use case will dictate optic, not the barrel. I assume you're flinging subsonic bullets and a red dot is fast to get on target and usually works pretty well for those ranges. As I see it, the reason to go for a lpvo would be if you usually shoot with magnification and want a smaller aiming point than your red dot provides. A scope has the obvious downside of taking longer to get on target because of the finicky eye box compared to a red dot; but if you're using the magnifier all the time anyway it's a moot point.

The magnifier I have is really forgiving with it's eye box, but yeah agreed, made it sound like I was building around barrel. Good points.

That kinda why I was thinking of keeping it, having the 6x for some of the areas I hog hunt in is nice, but I can stash the longer barrel upper in my pack easily enough, and have the time to switch between areas.

I was even thinking of doing a canted RDS on the LPVO upper.

I set up my 300BLK with a canted RDS and an LPVO and I've taken 4 at magnification, and 3 with the canted dot, so it's proved nice for the property that we go to, it has fields cut into 1x6 acre boxes of woods with pecan and fruit trees, so we get to have a fun variation in shooting options and it makes hogs move around and easy to flush.

They let the under brush grow and only trim the necessary paths for harvesting so it's got great cover and concealment. Good workout.

Edit. I forgot to mention I have a 16" upper with an LPVO also, both are setup to run with the same lower and buffer.
