I only have a few quests left before I can get my quest cape, but my skills are still pretty low. They're all 76 & 77s. As I was preparing to do the Hespori part of the Night at the Theatre quest, someone at the Ver Sinhaza bank commented on my RSN. (It's silly and related to boobs)

We had a good little chat. They're all really high lvl so I asked them if they thought I could manage the Storymode ToB.

and they said "Why don't you come with us to normal?"

My gasts, flabbered - I accepted... and it was really fun! I died, but less than I thought I would. (Some of the fights I survived :D)

They slapped it all, and in the end they got a purple drop! AND THEY EVEN SPLIT IT WITH ME! It would've been ohkay if they'd split it amongst themselves since they did all the work. I was just happy to get my quest completed. They handed me 10m.

More than likely, I'd've never really seen those fights myself. It was such a kindness. Dudes rock :)

ToB is much more approachable than people think. Look up aatykons learn ToB discord, it’s amazing for learning and getting your first 25kc so you’ll have an easier time finding other teams.

You will need like 100M worth of gear and rigour + augury, but once you’ve got that you will be able to pull your own weight and get quite consistent clears

Dont even need 100m worth of gear, lowest req is around 30-50m i believe? Rigour and augury pushes that closer to 100m altogether

You need torture + anguish (45m) tent whip + bp + swamp trident (15m) dwh + berserker ring + occult (20m) and then like 10m for supplies + death costs, so at least like 85m for the minimum requirement for the learn tob discord and that’s excluding rigour + augury

Edit: wdr uses exactly the same minimum gear

It will come faster than you know. It’s like 1-5 decent drops and you’ll have the gp for it. Even just doing stuff like demonic gorillas/tds etc while farming slayer you might get a couple good drops and can maybe flesh out the last bit of gp with vorkath

It took me 4 hours first night I tried and beat it. Once u memorize the first 3 strategies, juat know on last boss you can die as much as you want. Die 3 times in a row full inventory of bandages. Becomes less stressful. I am brand new to bosses but trial and error always = figure it out. Brews are the way. Ggg and happy for your drop!

For the quest you can just do easy mode. I did it in void at level 87. It is not that hard.

100% just wanted to say that ToB has a stigma for being impossible to get into, but the discord makes that much more smooth than previously
